Low-temperature, monoblock with energy efficiency class A+++/A++

The Hymon heat pumps from the Blaupunkt series were developed to meet energy-saving requirements. This multifunctional device is designed for domestic hot water and building heating.

Blaupunkt heat pumps have a low noise level. They are equipped with Wi-Fi, allowing you to benefit from intelligent control. They achieve high performance with low power consumption. EVI technology enables increased refrigerant pressure at the compressor outlet. Higher condensing pressure and more refrigerant in the condenser enable greater heating capacity and higher conversion temperatures.

Appropriately selected components and their high quality lead to high yields with Blaupunkt heat pumps. These devices are characterized by high energy ratings. Based on tests conducted by TÜV SÜD, they were classified into the following classes (depending on the temperature of the heating system they were used with):

for a CO flow temperature of 35 °C – energy class A+++

for a CO flow temperature of 55 °C – energy class A++

Obligation to commission a specialist company for heat pumps and split air conditioning systems with fluorinated refrigerants

Which devices are affected?

The regulation applies to split-system air conditioning systems and heat pumps  containing fluorinated refrigerants . Systems using natural refrigerants are  not affected . Split systems consist of separate indoor and outdoor units that must be connected during installation. Due to the F-gases (fluorinated greenhouse gases) they contain, proper handling is required by law.

Closed monoblock systems, such as many mobile air conditioners or heat pumps with factory-sealed refrigerant circuits, are not affected  . These can be installed and commissioned by the end customer themselves, as no intervention is required in the refrigerant system.

Is a certified specialist company really necessary?

Yes.  According to  Article 10 of Regulation (EU) 2024/573 in conjunction with Section 6 (1) of the Chemicals Climate Protection Ordinance,  installation may only  be carried out by a certified company . Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2215  now applies  , which states that installation, connection, and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified person.

Even with so-called quick-connect systems, which are intended to facilitate installation, installation must be carried out by a certified company.

Why is professional installation so important?

• Environmental protection & safety – Incorrect handling can lead to refrigerant leakage.
• Warranty claim – Many manufacturers require professional installation.

Can private users do something themselves?

Yes, partly.

For example, private users can install indoor and outdoor units or install piping—  as long as these piping is made from a single piece. However, if connections are required , such as flared or welded joints, this must be performed by a competent person working for a company certified under Article 10 of Regulation (EU) 2024/573.

What happens in case of violations?

Anyone who installs the system independently without a certified company risks:

• Fines of up to €50,000
• Loss of warranty claims
• Environmental and health risks
